Anode RodsExtend the life of your hot water tank and protect against corrosion. Anode rods are easy to install and highly recommended, especially for systems regularly subjected to harder water. Most Suburban heaters take a 9.5″ anode rod, while Atwood tanks generally accept a 4.5″ rod. |

Water Pressure RegulatorWater pressure regulation will vary wildly at RV parks, if it exists at all! Over-pressurized water in your RV may lead to leaks or burst pipes, especially in older motorhomes. Including a pressure regulator when you connect to city water will ensure that the water pressure in your RV or trailer is always at a known, safe level. We set ours to 45 PSI. |

Water Leak DetectorThese water sensors are great to have in any area a water leak may occur. If they detect water they will emit a loud alarm, and if connected to WiFi, will also send an alert to your phone ensuring you are aware of the issue even if you are away from your RV. At a minimum, we recommend placing them behind toilets and near your water heater, although you may want to install more under sinks, in your wet bay, near your water pump, or anywhere else you think a water leak may occur. These D-Link sensors are powered by AA batteries, so no wiring or outlets are required. Sold in packs of 2. |
Sanitary
Happy Camper Toilet TreatmentHappy Camper odor eliminator is simply the best black tank treatment we have found. After emptying and rinsing your tanks, flush 1-2 scoops with about a gallon of water down the toilet. These enzymes will help dissolve solids, reduce unpleasant odors, and make the task of emptying your black tanks a little less icky. The small size contains 18 treatments and the large will treat your tanks 64 times. |

Rhino Extreme Sewer Hose KitThe RhinoExtreme Kit contains 20ft of heavy duty sewer hoses, a SideWinder hose support, and several adaptors and accessories. With proper use, this kit will ensure your sewer connection always drains properly and help reduce bad odors, leaks, and mess. The two 10ft sewer hoses means you always have a spare handy, and don’t have to worry if an extended run is necessary due to a poorly placed sewer connection. |

Rhino Waste Water ToteIf your site doesn’t have a sewer connection, these portable holding tanks allow you to transport your waste water to a dump station without moving your RV. They are easily moved by hand, and the kit also includes a tow adapter to allow transport using a trailer hitch. Multiple sizes are available, although we find the 21 gallon linked below is the best balance of capacity and ease of transport. |
Electrical
Surge ProtectorRV parks are notorious for power fluctuations. A high-quality surge protector is a must-have to protect your valuable and sensitive electronics from damage due to an unstable shore power connection. Although cheaper options exist, we highly recommend purchasing a high-quality Progressive Industries protector. Spending a little extra here could save you thousands of dollars down the road. |

BlueFire Dimmable LED RV LightThese low-profile lights are a sleek design that is a huge improvement over the standard interior RV light fixtures. A dimmable LED light with three colour temperature settings provides reduced power usage and a high degree of customization, allowing you to set the lighting in your RV to the way you like it. The light output is very good with no flickering, and installation is a breeze as these will directly replace the standard, double-sided light fixtures found in most RVs and trailers. |

Smart Battery ChargerKeeping your batteries healthy will not only save you money, but could also save a vacation! Smart chargers can stay connected any time your RV is parked or in storage, and will ensure your battery is maintained at an optimal state of charge. Suitable for lead acid, AGM, or lithium, it also includes a repair function that can help extend the life of your batteries. |
Waterproofing
Lap Sealant (Self Leveling)Do not use household silicone sealants on the exterior of your RV or trailer. Lap sealant is a rubberized sealing compound that will hold up to UV and remain flexible, ensuring it doesn’t pull apart when travelling down the road. Self-leveling lap sealant spreads out on horizontal surfaces, filling voids and preventing water intrusion. It should be used on your roof around vents, skylights, or on in any area where there are penetrations of your roof membrane. |
|
Lap Sealant (Non-Sag)Non-sag lap sealant holds it’s shape and won’t run, allowing it to be used on vertical surfaces. Apply with a standard caulking gun to prevent water intrusion around body seams, windows, doors, and other areas leaks may occur. |
|
EternaBond Sealing TapeFor areas where Lap Sealant isn’t enough, EternaBond is the answer. It provides a permanent, durable, waterproof seal and is an excellent option for areas where leaks are common such as along the top of endcaps. It is available in multiple widths and lengths, and although cheaper knock-off products exist, we have not found a replacement for the real thing. |
|
Stor-DryThe Stor-Dry de-humidifier will help keep moisture out of the interior of your RV while it is in storage. Plug this in to a 110v power source, and it will help air circulate and keep the humidity low to prevent mould and other moisture issues from appearing over the winter. |
Safety and Convenience
Propane Leak DetectorAs your RV is a confined space, even a small propane leak can cause a big problem. A propane leak detector will alert you to the presence of propane inside your RV or trailer, allowing you to shut off your LP system and address the issue before a bigger problem occurs. Available in black or white, these detectors can be flush- or surface-mounted and connect to your RVs 12v power system. Remember, propane is heavier than air, so these should be mounted near the floor if installing by yourself. |

Smoke and CO detectorEveryone knows you need smoke detectors throughout your home, however many people forget about their home on wheels! Having a smoke and carbon monoxide detector is essential for anywhere you sleep. Depending on the size of your RV, we recommend placing one in your bedroom or sleeping area and one in the living area at a minimum. If your RV already has smoke detectors installed, check the replacement date! As with your house, they should be replaced every 5-10 years depending on the model. |

Wireless Propane Monitoring SystemThe Mopeka Pro LP monitor allows you to see the level of your propane tanks directly from your phone! These magnetic monitors easily mount to the bottom or your propane tank and measure the level of your LP ultrasonically. This allows for much more accuracy than pressure gauges, and through the mobile app, you can monitor the level remotely. |
